BEST OF 3: Your Crime/Mystery Recommendations – WANTED!
Crime and Mystery has been my preferred genre to read for over twenty years. I think it’s always been an eclectic and interesting genre, but I think we’re literally spoilt for choice at the moment … Now’s a GREAT time for crime and mystery buffs!! There’s SO many fantastic novels, old and new, to choose from!
But where do we start??
I get asked all the time to recommend my favourites, so I thought I’d open the site to EVERYONE’S recommendations of what crime/mystery they’ve liked recently *and* why — WITHOUT SPOILERS (more details, please see T & Cs, below).
I’m calling it “Best of 3” – authors AND readers can email me their recommendations in the following format (just copy & paste) via Bang2write@aol.comor via my contact form:
1. Books recommended MUST be crime/mystery. Authors’, readers’ and book bloggers’ recommendations welcome. We love brevity here – so try and keep your recommendations under 300 words total for the whole article!
2. If you’re a book blogger or keen reviewer on other sites like GoodReads or Amazon, then by all means include links to your more detailed reviews (though if they include spoilers, please indicate).
3. Recommended books do not have to be recently published; they can be classics or your old favourites, too.
4. All crime/mystery books welcome, including traditionally AND self published, but the book cannot be recommended by the author of the work (including via pseudonym) or official PR teams. Any book recommendations violating this will be removed from the site.
5. Successful recommenders will be notified on social media and/or email when theirs is live.
LOOKING FORWARD TO READING YOUR RECOMMENDATIONS!
FREE BOOK! Crime writer LV Hay (The Other Twin) brings forth three new short stories from her dark mind and poison pen: In Plain Sight, Killing Me Softly and Hell And High Water.
Beautiful places hide dark secrets… Known as England’s ‘Little Switzerland’, the Exmoor village of Lynmouth is located on the doorstep of the dramatic Valley of The Rocks. Famous for its cliff railway and breath-taking scenery, Lynmouth has inspired many writers, including RD Blackmore’s Lorna Doone and 19th Century poet Percy Bysshe Shelley, who honeymooned there in 1812. Devon author LV Hay uses her local knowledge to bring forth the claustrophobic, dark domestic noir she has become known for. Grab your free book now!
